Hi everyone. We are currently 34 days into our trip and we have traveled all the way into Western Australia. At the moment we are in the Kimberleys. We have traveled 8500km. That’s a really long way.
We went to Dubbo Zoo and we saw Siamang Monkeys, they were my favourite. They made a really weird sound and they were hilarious.
The trip was pretty boring for a whole week, while we did lots of driving.
We went to an old Opal Mine in Coober Pedy. We went to Uluru and the Olga’s. Me and my Dad were the only ones who made it around Uluru. I wanted to climb it but it was too windy so the walk was closed.
We went on a cool Rim Walk at Kings Canyon. It was scary because you could fall off because there were no railings.
I went to a reptile park in Alice Springs. All of the reptiles there were Australian Animals.
We went for a walk to Standley Chasm (I thought it was Stan Lee Chasm, you know Marvel haha), the rocks glowed when the sun hit it and there were rock wallabies.
We saw the Devils Marbles which look like marbles, funny that.
TWO WORDS!!!! HOT SPRINGS!!!!!! Mataranka was AWESOME! I loved it, we spent almost two days swimming in hot springs!
We have seen lots of waterholes and waterfalls in Litchfield National Park. We went swimming under the waterfalls.
I stepped on a snake, it turned out to be a Burtons Snake Lizard, phew.
We went to the Mindil Markets in Darwin (ps this was after I called Seth). At the markets we ate lots of yummy food including, mini pancakes with nutella and ice-cream, churros with caramel sauce, oysters and potato spirals. I also got a really cool crocodile tooth necklace.
In Darwin we also did a Jumping Crocodile Tour and I thought I’d get eaten by a crocodile. I got a really good photo with my camera.
We went to Kakadu National Park and we saw lots of birds. We went on a Yellow Water Wetland Cruise and we saw lots of Saltwater Crocodiles, a couple of birds and three buffalos.
Lake Argyle, the start of the Kimberleys!!! Wow, a beautiful freshwater lake. We did another cruise and saw two crocodiles, a couple of rock wallabies and some catfish and cobbler fish. Then we went for a swim in the lake, it was great.
After the cruise we went for a swim in the infinity pool.
Next stop was El Questro, where we went on lots of walks through some beautiful gorges. They all had great swimming holes at the end of the walk where we went swimming.
As I write this, we have just arrived at our next stop, the Bungle Bungles. After this we are heading to the beach, aka the holiday inside my holiday haha.
We have been having lots of campfires and roasting lots of yummy marshmallows. It has been really warm.
